"Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary.”
Robin Williams, Dead Poet’s Society
Dear Soul Friends,
In all the chaos, we can stop and breathe, and remember that we are here on earth to live. I am sending big hugs to anyone who is struggling right now. Just know, you are never alone, you are always enough, and there are many helping hands reaching out.
Let me drop some words of wonder onto the wounds of the world. May the remedy of poetry bring some light, ease and release. I will update this post with a recording of the poem at the end of the day, but I wanted you to be able to breathe in a little poetry right now. If life feels heavy, we maybe need to stop trying to hold it, and let life hold us instead.
One Day
One day
life will lay
her head to rest
on a flower bed
of regrets
we will be bedded
in sorrow and heartache
if we miss
to live
this precious time
to the fullest
without quarrelling
what is yours and mine
because
in the end
all that matters
is a well-rested soul
and our connection
to the divine
guidance inside
One day
we will look back
as scenes
of our life pass by
and we will wonder
why
on earth
we struggled
so much
with being here
why
we refused to touch
the dirt
and feel the soft
and squishy moss
underneath our bare feet
why
so often
we judge things
as gross
when they are a beautiful indeed
a work of holy creation
like blood
or snot
when all of it
is just there
to help us be alive
and doesn't even cost
a lot
One day
we will curl our toes
dipping them into the weed
wondering
when our soul
stopped to lead
and we will wish
to be reborn
and do it all over
again
but we will forget
why we are here
and not recognise
the pen
with which our story
seems to write itself
until we open our eyes
and realise
that we are the author
and life is precious
holy and short
If you knew you were
gone tomorrow
would you lay down
your sword
and stop the fight?
Would you still insist
on being right?
Would you not choose
to be happy
for one more day?
Would you give up before,
and hide,
or would you try to stay
as long as you can?
Would you walk barefoot
on the grass
to feel alive
one last time?
One day
will inevitably come
but we can seize each day
until we are gone
Sadhbh AdameaMay you breathe deeply into the magic of the moment. May your heart beat in the rhythm of Love. May you be happy. May you be healthy. May you feel peace.
Lots of Love,
Always feel free to reach out if you need a helping hand, a kind word, encouraging conversation or simply someone who listens.

Beautiful Sadhbh!

Ab-soul-utely beautiful, Sadhbh! Your words instantly took me back to being around four years old and running barefoot through the grass. I love the way you invite us back into our bodies and the present moment. It's deeply comforting and grounding. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful light and Truth at times when the world can feel so heavy.🙏💖
